Where will Certificate II in Salon Assistant lead you?

Would you love a job where you can be creative, meet new people and make them feel great?  Then a Certificate II in Salon Assistant could be perfect for you. This certificate will prepare you for work in a hairdressing environment. Students will become knowledgeable in a range of basic hairdressing services as well as communicating in the workplace, interacting with clients and assisting senior staff and expanding their knowledge of the hairdressing industry.  Certificate II in Salon Assistant is delivered via a VETiS profile program through South Regional TAFE. This VET course is completed in one year, so depending on when students join the course, they will need to pick a new course to achieve their Western Australian Certificate of Education.

  • Preparing clients for senior staff to attend to
  • General housekeeping
  • Welcoming clients
  • Making appointments
  • Washing clients hair
