
Numerous opportunities are available for students to travel at Esperance SHS. Students can travel within the state for a variety of camps or cultural events including:
- Surfing competitions
- Interschool swimming and athletics carnivals in Albany
- Football and cricket competitions in Kalgoorlie
- Tournament of Minds
- Aquatic and Outdoor Education to local beaches and National Parks
- Perth Royal Show
- Apex Australia Teenage Fashion Awards
- Music Camp
- Careers camp
- Country Week
Interstate trips may include:
- Humanities and Social Sciences political and historical tour of Canberra and Sydney
- Tournament of Minds trips to various states for the national finals
- South East (Clontarf) Academy visits interstate
International travel:
- Biennial New Zealand Adventure Tour
- The Quiet Lion Tour to Thailand for ANZAC Day
- French exchange program to Esperance's twin town, St Martin de Ré and to Reunion
To be considered for travel, students need to demonstrate:
- exemplary behaviour
- suitable academic progress
- conformity to the school uniform policy
- the ability to be positive ambassadors for Esperance.
In addition to this, school fees are required to be paid (or a payment plan in place).
