Esperance Senior High School offers an educational setting like no other; a chance for students to experience the safety and community spirit of a small town environment, whilst providing an opportunity for the pursuit of excellence through a quality education.
The campus itself is nestled within a tranquil bush setting, yet it is only minutes from the thriving town centre. It is divided into several exciting learning areas, including a Junior Campus and a Senior Campus, to cater for the range of different age groups and learning opportunities.
A separate Junior Campus exists to provide a distinct and safe physical and learning environment for our year 7 and 8 students for the majority of their subjects. These students also access the school’s specialist facilities in the north wing for their ‘taster’ option subjects, which enables them to have a broad educational experience.
The Senior Campus for year 9, 10, 11 and 12 students provides a wealth of opportunities for students wishing to follow a university bound pathway or vocational education pathway in years 11 and 12.
Our VET sector provides valuable training opportunities, enabling a more productive workforce, and has industry standard facilities such as the recently built Trades Training Centre. These opportunities are strengthened through the existence of the partnerships the school has, particularly with the Esperance Community Education Campus (ECEC). The ECEC is made up of the High School, the Esperance Senior High School Education Support Centre, the Esperance Residential College and the South Regional TAFE.
Adjacent to our campus is the recently refurbished 114 bed Esperance Residential College, providing a fun and engaging ‘home away from home’ for boarding students. The friendly College staff provide a busy and extensive program of activities, ensuring students’ ‘home’ time is a relaxing and enjoyable space where lifelong friendships are forged.
Our community is defined by the support we receive from our local businesses, whether providing work experience, workplace learning, traineeships or sponsorship for school camps, sporting events or overseas trips. In return, our students consistently prove themselves to be excellent ambassadors for our school and our town.
