Athletics and Swimming Carnivals

2021 Winners

2021 Swim Carnival winners - Dempster

The Swimming and Athletics Carnivals are great days at school. We encourage all students to participate, whilst ensuring students are still able to compete at a high level.

Swimming Carnival

The school's swimming carnival is held in term one.

Years seven and eight have a combined carnival.

Competitors from Years 9 - 12 are also welcome on the swim carnival day.

Family and friends are welcome at the carnival (despite what your children may tell you!!)

Students compete in timed 50m events (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) to earn championship points. An inter-school swimming team is selected based on student results at the school carnival.

Students can also compete in 25m events to earn points for their faction.

There are also some fun events for students eg. bucket relay.

Presentations for champions and runners-up are held at the conclusion of the carnival. The winning faction is also announced.
